Ironically my only political poster, or concept was "La Voiture De
L'Annee", which won the Gold Medal at The Warsaw Poster Biennale in
1978. The poster was a quintessential political protest work and won thanks
to the concentrated efforts of several Western critics and sole Japanese
Juror, Shigeo Fukuda. I was on exile then and collected my Gold Medal 15
years later when Poland regained her independence again.
